至於大夜班英文就不一樣了，很特別的是它用了graveyard墳場這個字，據說是因為值大夜班的人都是在夜深人靜、周遭像一片死寂的墳場的半夜工作，讓人容易精神不濟、恍恍惚惚，因而得名。

你上夜班還是日班？
夜班工人下班時，日班工人來上班。
她剛值完在醫院13小時的輪班。
-the act of different people doing the same job at different times.
輪班
-a period when you do something that someone else would usually be doing, especially in order to allow them to rest.
輪班，輪流做某事
If we take spells (with) doing the painting, it won’t seem like such hard work.
如果我們輪換著刷油漆，也許做起來不會這麽累。
和work in shift最大的差異在於，rotation強調的是某個職務的輪替，例如重要職務，主席等的輪流擔任，working in shift 則是指一群工作的人在一天、或是一段時間內輪流去工作，至於spell則是著重在於，使他人能夠休息而輪流工作的輪班。
依據邏輯上來說，輪班制的工作人員，就是輪流休假，在英文的用法中，並沒有特別代表「輪休」的單字或片語，但我們還是能使用一些簡單的片語去表達輪休英文：
*Day off 休息日
I won’t be in on Thursday – it’s my day off.
我週四不在—那天我休息。
She’s taking three days off next week.
她下星期休假三天。
*In turns 依次，輪流
Each of us takes a break in turn.
我們輪流休息。
至於常見的固定週期的休假隔周休 則可以使用bi-作為前綴詞的單字
隔週休
bi- prefix. twice, or once every two
兩次；每…兩次；兩…一次
除了輪班英文之外，另外，加班英文是什麼，一併揭曉！
They’re doing/working overtime to get the job done on time.
他們加班以準時完成這項工作。
*Overtime除了能用來當作加班之外，同時作為名詞也有加班費的意思。
You can earn some overtime by working after 6.00 p.m.
你可以工作到六點以後，賺點加班費。
*如果你的工作不用輪班，工作時間是固定的，英文就稱做 office worker
